The nearest airport servicing the Hunter Valley region is Newcastle airport. We will be arranging buses from Newcastle Airport to the conference venue on the Sunday preceeding the conference and on the Thursday at the conclusion of the conference. For planning purposes, an option will be available at the time of registration to indicate whether delegates wish to take up this option. We recommend delegates plan their air travel so as to arrive at Newcastle airport.

Delegates wishing to fly into Sydney, please note that it will be your responsibility to arrange transport to the venue. Travel times from Sydney to the venue are typically 2.5 - 3 hours.

Welcome Reception

All delegates are invited to the pre-conference Welcome Reception to be held on the evening of Sunday 2nd February.

Women in Applied Mathematics Lunch

The conference will feature a Women in Mathematical Sciences lunch, to be held on Tuesday the 4th of February. This event is free, and open to all delegates, although registration is required for catering purposes. Delegates may register for this event by ticking the relevant box on the registration form.

LGBTIQA+ and Allies Breakfast

The conference will feature a LGBTIQA+ and Allies breakfast, to be held on Wednesday the 5th of February. This event is free, and open to all delegates, although registration is required for catering purposes. Delegates may register for this event by ticking the relevant box on the registration form.

AMSI-ANZIAM Early-Career Workshop

The 2020 AMSI-ANZIAM Early-Career Workshop (ECW) will be held at the Crowne Plaza, Hunter Valley, on Sat 1st (approx. 1pm start) and Sun 2nd February, 2020, immediately before ANZIAM 2020. Featuring speakers from industry and academia, the workshop provides early-career mathematicians the chance to discuss career pathways, get advice from experienced mathematicians, and network with other early career academics. Watch out for more a more detailed program! Registration is free and is open to all current students and conference delegates within five years of graduating. The ECW includes dinner on the evening of the 1st and lunch on the 2nd, with tea provided both days.

Mathematical Biology SIG Workshop

MBSIG will have a one-day meeting following the main conference on Friday 7 February, from 9am until 1pm, with lunch provided. This will be held in the Verdelho Room at the conference venue. If you would like to attend this meeting, please tick the box on the main conference registration form.
