Stuart Hawkins obtained his PhD in 1999 from the University of Bath in the UK. After graduation Stuart held
academic positions at the University of Liverpool and UNSW before joining Macquarie University in 2009.
Stuart's research interests are computational mathematics, in particular (electromagnetic and acoustic)
wave scattering and surface integral equations. Stuart's favourite activites are surfing and ocean swimming.

Research interests: electromagnetic and acoustic wave scattering simulations, boundary integral equations, surface integral equations, boundary element methods, high order methods, preconditioning and numerical linear algebra.
