Biographical note: Andrew was educated at
University of Sydney,
graduating with a PhD in Civil Engineering in 1977.
Next he worked with Control Data Australia
providing support for computer applications used in Structural Engineering,
within a mainframe-based network.
Then in 1982 Andrew founded
Compumod Pty.Ltd.,
a company supplying computer-modelling services to engineering
and scientific organisations throughout Australia.
These services included professional engineering consultancy,
software and hardware supply,
as well as support and training for a wide user-base.
