Recently I encountered the problem that a `-' (dash) in a heading confuses
l2h. Is that fixed in 97.1?
Yes, as this heading shows -- Ross.
Although we have already invented 64-bit microprocessors, there seems to
be no chance for at least an eight-bit font in simple texts. Is it possible to
specify a field containing different characters considered to be equal?
The main problem is obviously (extracted from different threads in the
mailing list) that the .toc and .aux files
generated by LATEX contain
different information than the .tex file.
One contains an `Ä',
while this letter has been converted to `\"A'2 in the next.
Hmm; this may be fixed automatically now. I'm not sure, yet.
The idea of a user-definable list of aliases is a good one.
-- Ross.
The mail I sent some months ago has unfortunately been deleted in my
archive. The problem I encountered has to do with the combinations of
(German) accents and inline math. I will try to remember the test I once
performed:
These all work properly now -- Ross.

- Why does
this disappear in LATEX2HTML?
Fixed! -- Ross.
