MATH106 - A View of Mathematics
This is a general education unit of study, and is more about mathematics than of mathematics and is not a designated science unit. It is designed for students who, while perhaps having little mathematical knowledge, would like to be able to enjoy mathematics and who recognise its importance as part of our cultural heritage. The emphasis is on developing the ideas and the logical approach of the subject rather than on acquiring technical skills.

Not Counted for Credit With: HSC Mathematics Band 5, HSC Mathematics Extension 1 Band E3, HSC Mathematics Extension 2 Band E2, PHYS140, PHYS143, PHYS149, any unit in the range MATH123-MATH339.
