Sorry, you'll have to wait till mid-January to rush out to buy Alf van der Poorten's Notes on Fermat's Last Theorem (New York, N.Y.: Wiley-Interscience, 1996)

These are some sample pictures from Alf van der Poorten's Notes on Fermat's Last Theorem . Mind you, the originals are rather better. For example, the 1670 Diophantus gif above is just 13KB, but is derived from a 12.8MB eps file.
